For the Navajo, 'Haashch'ééh' (sometimes just 'Hast') translates as 'god' so it's what follows this word that identifies the deity and his/her attributes. H. OOŁT'OHÍ or SEOLTOI is deity of the hunt; H. ŁTI'Í is the Talking God, god of the dawn, the east and hunted animals; H. DINE'É is the Masked God, or (pl.) the 'holy people'; H. OOGHAAN/OGHAN is the Calling (or House) God, god of evening and the west; H. SHZHINI or SEZINI is the Black God, creator of the universe and inventor of fire; H. SBAKA/YEBAKA is the male elder of the gods; H SEBAAD is chief goddess, mistress of exorcism; H. SELTSI is the god of racing and cleanliness. Under a slightly different spelling, HATDASTSISI is a benevolent disease-curing god
