The tutelary deity of the Cimbri tribe, who lived in the Jutland peninsula. He is known from seven Roman inscriptions in the Germania Superior territories but his worship appears to have migrated southwards to the Heidelberg and Mainz areas, possibly by Cimbric migrations, but more likely by Cimbri recruits to the Roman army who were then transferred to the Heidelberg/Mainz areas.
